Sirli has been the leader of the Estonian Geological Survey since 2020. She has a Master's Degree from the Tallinn University of Technology as an engineer in chemical technology. Sirli has worked as a researcher at the Tallinn University of Technology and in the private sector (Viru Keemia Grupp, BiotaTec LLC). | |
Timo is an experienced geochemist with a demonstrated history of working in geochemical mapping, data analysis and environmental applications of geochemical data. He has been working for years in GTK in environmental solutions and environmental geochemistry working groups. He is an associate professor of Applied Geochemistry at the University of Helsinki. Timo has a PhD in Applied Geochemistry from the University of Helsinki. | |
Heli has worked for the City of Helsinki since 2016 as an environment inspector and a project manager in an EU project (Circular Economy). Since 2020, the main focus has been on the remediation of contaminated sites and the use of waste material in earth construction. As a city representative, Heli finds the knowledge and data gained from geochemical baseline studies precious, for instance, in handling declarations on the remediation of contaminated soil or groundwater. | |

Aire has worked at the Estonian Ministry of Environment (now Ministry of Climate) since 2012. 2012-20123 advising at the Department of Environmental Management, focusing on environmental taxation and economic instruments, sustainable development, green reform and transition. Currently working as the head of soil policy at the Ministry of Climate. Has a Master's Degree in Finance and Macroeconomics from the University of Tartu. | |

Kairi has studied molecular biology and genetics and is currently working on her PhD in analytical biochemistry. She is working as a lecturer of systems biology at the University of Tallinn. Her research also includes studying the safety of soil for growing food. | |
Elina has been working at the Geological Survey of Estonia since 2020. She has a Master's degree in environmental technology from the University of Tartu. Her field of expertise is environmental geochemistry including topics like mining waste, natural radiation and chemical contamination in soil and ground water. | |
Martin is a geochemist and marine geologist. He has a PhD from the University of Tartu where he has been working since he was a student. in 2020 he joined the Geological Survey of Estonia, working mainly on projects related to marine geology and geochemistry. |
